Robin was a fantastic colleague and friend to me when we worked together at City Uni. I'll always be so grateful for his kindness and support when I was grappling with the stress of being a new Head of Department. I enjoyed our many chats on the bus to Liverpool Street, about our mutual interest in bikes, amongst other things. Robin was an exceptional person.
